Phillip joined the firm in 1975 as an Articled Clerk after completing a London University Law Degree. He is currently the Partner in charge of the Matrimonial Department and is a member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel.
He specialises in divorce work with associated ancillary relief (from high value cases to modest value cases) and also private Children Act matters. Increasingly he assists in the Resolution of financial disputes on the breakdown of relationships between cohabiting partners. His work also includes the obtaining of Restraining/Non-Molestation Orders in respect of property issues and violent/unacceptable behaviour.
Phillip lives in Newcastle with his wife and three sons. He is a Governor at St. Josephs Preparatory School. He spends his leisure time playing squash, tennis, listening to music and perhaps sadly gardening
